An evening with Fairport Convention to raise money for charity

Classic Album Sundays Canterbury will be joined by Fairport Convention founding member Simon Nicol for an evening to discuss the iconic fourth album, Liege & Lief at Vinylstore Jr in Canterbury on Monday 8th October to celebrate National Album Day and to raise money for charity.

Fairport Convention’s fourth album, Liege & Lief (1969) is considered by many as the breakthrough British folk-rock album and voted “Most Influential Folk Album Of All Time” by listeners of BBC Radio 2, back in 2006.

After a Simon Nicol has a Q&A with the audience, the lights will be dimmed and the audience can kick back and enjoy an uninterrupted vinyl playback of the album on a quality hi-fi system.

Tickets for the event are £10 from Vinylstore Jr with all proceeds going to Fairport Convention’s chosen charity, Katharine House Hospice, Banbury. Please book early as space is limited.
